JAINA
eLibrary Project - JAINA Education Committee Please Read the Following Request To protect, preserve, and
disseminate the ancient and contemporary Jain literature, the Education Committee
of Federation of JAINA, North America, has launched a JAINA eLibrary project.
Under this project the Jain literature will be converted electronically into
eBooks (pdf files) and made available via the
website to the readers who are interested in Jain religion and its
philosophy. The entire project is
financed through contribution from the Jain communities of North America,
India, and other parts of the world. The eLibrary contains
Shvetämbar Ägams, Digambar Shästras, Four Anuyogas, Commentary literature,
Präkrit literature and ancient and modern literature representing all aspects
of Jainism. While the readers discover the richness and spirituality of our
ancient Jain literature it also helps the authors and publishers to reach the
new audience. Jaina Education Committee provides totally free access to its
eLibrary website therefore the committee does not benefit financially from
its readers. For many of the books we have
obtained the permission from the authors/publishers for individual, private
and non-commercial use only. No
commercial use of the material is permitted. Sometimes we do receive the ebooks from other sources including our readers. We also request that if you
notice any violation of your copy-righted material, please let us know and we
will remove your material from the website as soon as possible. In such cases, we apologize for our
inadvertent error. Our only intention
is to spread the message of non-violence of our faith throughout the world in
a non-commercial way, If you have any suggestions or
comments, please send us an e-mail at education@jaina.org or call
919-859-4994. |
